I have worked in the NHS for 16 years - 14 as a
practice counsellor in a local GP practice and 2 as a supervisor of other
therapists in a Community Mental Health team. I also worked in Relate for 14
years.
Prior to all that I trained as a Mental health social worker, and taught in Wormwood
Scrubs prison.
In 1998, I set up in a private practice in a small
way in Trowbridge, and now this has expanded into seeing most of my clients there. I
also offer supervision to practicing counsellors and work as a supervisor in two
addiction agencies. |
My Relate background was in short term therapy and also in systemic therapy, looking at the whole
person in their environment.
